Dear Students,

 

SEPTEMBER 2020 SEMESTER ADMINISTRATIVE ORDERS

 

The below administrative orders are applicable to students undergoing Mainstream Programme - Foundation, Diploma and Bachelor programmes from Main Campus and Regional Centres of UNITAR International University.

 

A.   Course(s) Add/Drop Period

The course(s) add/drop period begins on 7 September 2020, 8.30 a.m and ends on 18 September 2020, 11.59pm (end of week 2). Student can perform add /drop course(s) online, via UNIEC CAMPUS.

 

Kindly contact One Stop Centre at onestopcentre@unitar.my or respective faculty executive for further queries or assistance.

B.  Registered Course(s) Verification in UNIECCAMPUSV2

              1.   Students are required to login to UNITAR Dashboard and via UNIECCAMPUSV2 to verify the RegistereCourses anSectionfor current semester. Andiscrepancies must be resolved before the end of thAdd/Drop perio(end of week 2).

 

              2.   Students who are unable to view the registered courses and class scheduling, may have been classified under the following categories:

 

(a)  AcademiAdvising status - Achievement of CGPis below 2.30.

Action required: Students are required to meet academic mentor (MC students) or academic coordinator (RC students) for academic advising before being allowed to register for the courses.

 

                 (b) Financial Barrinstatus - due to financial outstanding

Action required: Students are required to settle all the outstanding balance owing to the university through various method. Refer to attachment for payment method.

 

C. Blended Teaching and Learning

As communicated in our email dated 4th & 13th August 2020, the university management has made detailed and careful deliberation and decided that the teaching & learning activities will be conducted via blended mode for all conventional students effective September 2020 semester onward.

 

Lectures will continue to be held online through virtual platforms, and only tutorial & selected practical classes will be held physically on campus, whilst ensuring the campus is operating significantly below the current allowed capacity. You are now able to view updated timetable reflecting the above arrangements. This arrangement will last until December 2020 unless there are other updated directives provided by the authorities.

 

D.   Drop of Course(s)

Course(smabe droppewithout charge during Add/Drop period. However, course fees will be incurred if course(s) dropped after Add/Drop period.

The lasday permittefor courses to be dropped is one (1) working dabefore the Final Examinatioweek starts, which is Friday, 4 December 2020.

 

 

E.   Late Course Registration

Late course registration refers to the registration of course(s) by a student after the Add/Drop period but not later than the last working day of week three (3) of the semester, with the approval of the respective Dean/Deputy Dean; unless otherwise stated by the Faculty.

 

The Late Course Registration period for September 2020 Semester is commencing from Monday, 21 September until 5.30 p.m., Friday, 25 September 2020. Students are advised to register course(s) within this period. Otherwise students will be advised to Defer.

 

Late course registration fee as prescribed in the Student Financial Handbook may be imposed.

 

F.   Examination Week

Final Examination week for September 2020 semester begins from Monday, 7 December 2020 until Sunday, 20 December 2020. Students are advised NOT TO PLAN any holiday leave during this exam week. Any appeal to reschedule the exam date will not be entertained.

 

Final Examination schedule will only be released to students after week 5 of the semester.

 

G.  Study Load

Students are required tfulfil thfollowing studloafor September 2020 Semester:

Anstudent who wishes to register for more or less than the specified credit hours MUSfill in the course registration form and obtain the approvafrom respectivDeans. Students at the Main Campus may seek assistance from your faculty executive whereas students at Regional Centres must seek assistance from respective Academic/Programme Coordinators.

 

H.  Last Day to Defer Study

The lasday to defer studis on Friday, 4 December 2020.
