Dear All,

 

JANUARY 2020 SEMESTER ADMINISTRATIVE ORDERS FOR UNITAR INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (UNITAR)

 

Good day and welcome to January 2020 semester.

 

We are pleased to announce the following administrative orders for January 2020 semester which are applicable to all students of UNITAR International University (UNITAR) undergoing Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor and Master Programmes at Main Campus and all Regional Centres.

 

A.   Course(s) Add/Drop Period

The course(s) Add/Drop period for January 2020 semester is commencing from Monday, 13January 2020, 8.30 a.m until 11.59 p.m. Friday, 17 January 2020.

 

B.  Registered course(s) verification in UNIECCAMPUSV2

Kindly take note on the following:

  1. Students MUST login to UNITAR Dashboard and choose UNIECCAMPUSV2 to verify the registered Courses and Sections for current semester. Any discrepancies must be resolved before the end of the Add/Drop period.
  2. Upon login to UNIECCAMPUSV2, if students are unable to view the pre-registered courses and the class scheduling, then the student may have been classified under any of the following categories:

     
    1. The student is under Academic Advising status i.e. Achievement of CGPA is below 2.00;

      Action to be taken: Students are required to see your Deputy Dean or Program Leader for an academic advising before you are allowed to register for course.

       
    2. The student is under Financial Barring status due to financial outstanding owing to the University;

      Action to be taken: Students are required to see Student Finance Services Department (SFS) officer for consultation.

 

Full time students at the Main Campus, may seek assistance for Add/Drop from your faculty executive as per scheduled below:

C.   Drop of Course(s)

Course(s) may be dropped without charge during Add/Drop period. However, course fees will be incurred if course(s) dropped after Add/Drop period.

2nd week – 7th week

    (20 January 2020 – 6 March 2020)

100% of the course fee

 

The last day permitted for courses to be dropped is one (1) working day before the Final Examination week starts, which is Friday, 6 March 2020.

 

University will auto drop the courses on week 4 of the current semester if the students fall under below categories:

i- Inactive status (students who fail to confirm the course registration)

ii- Active status with outstanding balance from previous semester (Student who have confirm the course registration but with the outstanding fees from previous semester)

 

D.   Late Course Registration

Late course registration refers to the registration of course(s) by a student after the Add/Drop period but not later than the last working day of week two (2) of the semester, with the approval of the respective Dean/Deputy Dean; unless otherwise stated by the Faculty.

 

The Late Course Registration period for January 2020 Semester is commencing from Monday, 20 January until 5.30 p.m., Friday, 24 January 2020. Students are advised to register course(s) within this period or students will be advised to Defer.

 

Late course registration fee as prescribed in the Student Financial Handbook may be imposed.

 

 

 

 

 

E.   Examination Week

Final Examination week for January 2020 semester is from Monday, 9 March 2020 until Sunday, 15 March 2020. Students are advised NOT TO PLAN any holiday leave during this exam week. Any appeal to reschedule the exam date will not be entertained.

 

Final Examination schedule will only be released to the student after week 5 of the semester.

 

F.    Study Load

All students are required to fulfill the following study load for January 2020 Semester:

Any students who wish to register for more or less than the specified credit hours MUST fill in the course registration form and obtain the approval from respective Deans. Students at the Main Campus may seek assistance from your faculty executive whereas students at Regional Centres must seek assistance from respective Academic/Programme Coordinators.

 

G.  Last Day to Defer Study

The last day for students to defer study is on Friday, 6 March 2020.
